Estelle & Thild Detox Mask Lily Review

If having large pores is a problem for you then this mask by Estelle & Thild is definitely a product for you. Estelle & Thild is an organic skincare brand from Sweden who produce skincare that is suitable for various skin types. This Lily Detox Mask is suitable for all skin types and claims to give you dewy fresh skin.
The mask is made from natural bentonite clay and comes out as a thick yellow cream. What I love about this mask is that it does not set dry or irritate the face as many other masks do, but it still manages to draw out impurities and unclog pores extremely well.
Large pores do not exactly affect my face but I do have some on my nose and around it. Whenever I use this mask, I can barely see the pores on and around my nose, and my skin feels incredibly smooth.
I smooth this mask out with my hands to make sure I get an even application. It is recommended that you use it once or twice a week and that you leave it on for 3-5 minutes, which is a perfect amount of time if you need clean, fresh and smooth skin fast!

I really love how clean fresh and dewy my face feels after I have used this. It makes my skin feel nice and soft because of its ingredients such as olive oil and vitamin E, without making it feel oily instead, it just balances it out really well. In my opinion, this is a must-have mask for anyone but especially for people with oily skin or enlarged pores.
The mask is available at: Urban Retreat Beautique

January favorites!

The first month of the year is over, and as everyone seems to be saying, January has gone by ridiculously fast! To be honest January has been a month with both happy and sad times for me, it wasn’t exactly the start of the year that I was hoping for, but you know what they say things have to get worse before they get better.

Since January is over, I thought I would share some of the things I’ve loved during the month. Enjoy!
Mascara

Telescopic by L’Oreal is one of my all-time favorite mascaras. I can always trust it to make my eyelashes look super long and nicely separated.
Liquid eyeliner

Master precise liquid eyeliner by Maybeline is a fantastic eyeliner because it just creates a really nice precise line and it dosen't smudge, which i have had problems with in the past with other liquid eyeliners.

Concealer pen

This cocealer by La Roche-Posay has to be one of the best concealers I've ever used. It gives a high coverage and dosen't crease at all. I like to use it under my eyes and sometimes on my spots and it just covers beautifully without looking cakey.

2in1 Eye make-up remover

This eye make-up remover by Garnier is a really great and easy eye make-up remover. It doesn't irritate my eyes or leave them feeling oily or greasy which I feel some eye make-up removers do.

Moisturizer

This moisturizer by Vichy is probably one of the best hydrating moisturizers I’ve ever used. I use it every day & night and it just really keeps my skin hydrated (especially in the winter), and it works as perfect base for my make-up.
Nutriextra Oil

This dry oil by Vichy really gives a deep-down nourishment to the skin without leaving any oily residue. I love how healthy this makes my skin feel and look and how the moisturized sensation really lasts.
Lip balm
I have tried hundreds of lip balms and this is probably one of my ultimate favorites. it really nourishes and reliefs your lips.
Lipliner
I've really been loving this lipliner by Barbara Helener this winter. I love how easily it goes on and how blendable it is. I wear it on its own and with lipsticks.

Lipstick

This lipstick by Estee Lauder (in Rose Tea) is one of my favorite lipsticks. I love the formula and how creamy it feels on the lips. it is perfect for a pink/brown nude lip and suits both people with fair skin and people with color.

These were just some of the things I enjoyed using throughout January. Hope you enjoyed reading it :)

My New Year’s Resolutions!

Happy New Year! We are already one week into 2015 and I cannot wait to see what this year will bring. Now I have to admit I never really make New Year’s resolutions because, like many I am not good at sticking to them. However, this year I thought I would make some resolutions that are easy to stick to. In this past week, I have read many different posts about people’s resolutions, so I thought I would share mine with you.
Hope you enjoy!

This year I wat to…
Stay Healthy
After I graduated in 2014, I decided to change a few things in my life. For a long time I was not happy with the way I looked or felt so I decided that it was time to make some changes. The main changes I made were to eat healthier (and at the right times), work out more and lose some weight! I lost quite a lot of weight but I am still not quite, where I want to be, so my goal is to keep going this year and hopefully reach my goal weight and just staying healthy!
Blog more
Other than my job, and staying healthy blogging is something I really want to focus on this year! I really want to make many posts with great content, so my goal for now is to post at least once a week, and maybe change it to twice a week further in this year!
Be more organized
I like having my things organized, as it makes me more calm, collected and focused, but sometimes I catch myself being too lazy to organize my things, therefor I want to try and be more organized.

What are your new year’s resolutions? Do you have any? I would love to read them, so let me know in the comment section below.

Things I've been loving lately

I haven’t posted anything for a while because of all my exams and other stressful things, but I really miss blogging so I thought you know what? I’m going to post something today!
So this post is kind of a mashup between the things I loved throughout May and the things I am currently loving!

Vichy Normaderm

This purifying pore-tightning toner by Vichy is one of my favourite products at the moment! It's a great toner which clenases your skin gently but very effectively. A good thing about this product is that it is suitable for different skin types. This will Work great if you have sensitive skin or if you have oily or combination skin, the reason to why it's great if you have oily or combination skin is because it contains salisylic acid, which keeps your skin's oil balance in check.

Vichy (Again)

I use this product every day and night and I can seriously not get enough of it, it's one of my favourite creams of all time! Now it's actually a 24hr hydrating mask, but I have to admit I like to use it as a moisturizer. It's a super soothing and plumping mask which I absolutely love.

Avéne Thermal Spring Water

I use this Thermal Spring Water from Avéne for different things. I use it the exact way as I use my Thermal Spring Water from La Roche Posay, which I talked about in my April favourites. So if you haven't read that post and want to check it out, then here it is! http://simplyjazmine.blogspot.dk/2014/05/april-favourites.html

Baby Lips

I have wanted to get my hands on a Baby Lips lipbalm by Maybelline for a long time now and I finally got one last month! The one I bought is called Cherry Me and I have to say that I personally really like this product, it glides on smoothly, it's very moisturizing and has a great hint of colour.

The Fault In Our Stars

I am sure that most of you are familiar with this amazing book. This has to be hands down, one of the best books I've ever read in my life and therefore ofcourse one of my favourite books ever! John Green (The author) really did an amazing job with this book, everything from the beautiful story between the two main characters to all the amazing quotes. After reading this book I can't wait to get my hands on some of his other works! - If you haven't read it I really recomend that you do!

These were some of the things I've been loving lately :) What have been the things you guys have liked or enjoyed recently?
Love, Jazmine xx

Revision tips

Hello Everyone! It's that time of the year where you may be starting to prepare yourself for your exams, or maybe you've already started. I therefore thought it would be a good time to share with you some of my tips, since I am also myself starting to prepare myself for my exams this year, (I'm graduating college).
Please remember that there is no right or wrong way to revise, you need to go with what you feel like is the best for you, so here are some of the tricks I have picked up through the years as a student, hope they can help or give you guys some inspiration :)

1) Preparation
Prepare yourself. Make a list of all your notes, if you haven't written down notes in all of your classes, then plan how long you think it is going to take you to get these notes written down,(it always takes a lot longer than what you actually think), and start as soon as possible. Collect all of your written notes and textbooks and read them trough and start making notes.

2) Organize
Once you've got all of your notes it's time to organize! Organize your notes in a way that makes them quick and easy for you to find and read. You can even make a list, where you write down what subjects you want to revise on for different days. This leads me to my next tip which is planning.

3) Planning
Planning can really be the main key when it gets to revision. Wether you want to write an entire timetable down for everything, or if you just want to have an idea of how long you think it might take, planing is always a great step.

4) Read it out loud
Like i mentioned before you should go with whatever you feel like will help you! So this tip might not help you, but why not try and give it a go, you never know it might turn out to be your best way of learning/rembering your notes. I personally like to have my notes in front of me, where I highlight all the key words, it makes your notes just a tad bit more interesting to look at. When all that is done i like to read through them a couple of times, whereafter i like to pretend like I'm doing a presentation. This makes me read it out loud because like I said I'm pretending like I'm doing a presentation of something. The more I read it out loud the easier and quicker it becomes to remember my notes, which eventually will make me remember my notes without having to look at my notes.

5) Take breaks
A really important thing while revising is taking breaks! I'm not saying that your breaks should be hours long, but just enough time to kind of rest your mind and let all the informaftion from your notes sink in. In some of my breaks I love to go for a walk. It's a good way of getting your mind off of things and latting you brain have a break and just relax and get some fresh air.

6) Music
I can sometimes find it really hard to concentrate if it's too quiet. Therefore music is like one of my lifesavers when it gets to studying and revision! I always put on my favourite kind of music or just any om my favourite songs at the moment, and it really just makes everything a bit easier and less stressfull.

7)Food and Drinks
Ok we can't forget about eating and drinking! It's important for your entire system and brain to get something to eat. Whether you prefer healthy or unhealthy food and drinks getting something to eat and drink is very important, because you need energy. It varies from what i like to eat and drink, but I love having a plate with different kind of snacks and fruits, that can easily be eaten. Drink wise I love having somthing that is fresh and cold during the day, whereas when it starts to get later I love to switch over to some tea.

8) Sleep, sleep and sleep!
I have to be honest I am so bad at getting enough sleep, which isn't very good ofcourse since our brains need to relax (ooopss)….
I always tend to revise later in the the day than what I should, which ends up with me going to bed way to late! So make sure you get enough of sleep, that way you will feel more fresh and ready the next day for revision
.

These were just some of the things/tips that I think are important while revising. My exams are coming up very soon in fact I already have two exams next week, so I would love to hear if you have any tips that you really like for revision. Hope you liked it, and good luck to all of you who also have exams this year! Remember to work hard and don't panic or stress, because trust me it will all be worth it in the end!

Met gala beauty looks!

Here are some of my favorite makeup looks from the Met gala 2014, hope you enjoy!

Taylor swift definitely knows how to rock her signature look, which is the cat eyes and some nice red lips! and once again she pulled that look off a 100%

Elizabeth Olsen kept her look quite clean and classy, with neutral smokey eyes, and some settles spring-ready orange lips!

I absolutly love how  Karlie Kloss pulled off the bronzed cheek look with a pop of highligt (absolutly love her highlight) and a nice nude lip.

I love how Hailee Steinfeld went for a very clean and mature look! her winged eyeliner and neutral lips just look so effortless, and we can not forget about her eyebrows!

Kim Kardashian once again looks very elegant and rocks her perfect expert contouring and a nice subtle smokey eye, with a nice glossy lip!

I like how Lea Michele, went with some bold brows! Her dewy skin and the touch of gold shimmer on the inner corners of her eyes and the glossy lip definitely completed her beauty look.

I love how simple yet galmorous Jessica Alba looks! the dewy skin, the goldish/brownish smokey eyes and her nude lips just makes everything look so neutral!

And lastly I absolutely adore how Beyoncé and Selena Gomez pulled off the dark red lip! I love the whole dark red lip trend, although I have to admit, that I'm not quite brave enough to wear it myself.

These were just some of my favorite makeup looks from the Met gala, let me know your thougts in the comments. :)
Love, Jazmine
